I had pencils that you can shake or click to advance the lead a while ago (a promotional item from my wife's company) that I loved. However, I never saw them for sale or any other shake-to-advance pencil at any store. This is great. Not the same style that I am used to as this one is much fatter and has a more comfortable grip. I am worried about finding replacement erasers though. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I use this product for school after purchasing it at Staples. It's a pretty good standard 0.5 lead mechanical pencil. I splurged for the [$] sale price because of the "AI" lead advancing system. It's both useful and not useful. It's almost too good at what it does. Measures should be taken to de-sensitize the advancing mechanism, as I often end up with lead that is too long to write with after moving the pencil around. The idea of the AI is to save time and energy by not having to advance the lead, but I frequently have to put the lead back in, so it all equals out time wise, which leads me to give this pencil an Average review.

Not he best mecanical pencil I've used. I don't really use the different ways to sharpen,(shake, etc). But I'll probably buy them again, I'll just buy different lead.
