It may be strange to review and rank a permanent marker but I use permanent and felt pens a lot and this product is so far superior (and I try everyone that comes out on the market) that I just had to spend this valuable time to recommend it.

This is finally the perfect permanent marker for regular writing. (For me it even beats the black felt pen which comes in second because it doesn't bleed).

It writes sharply, with no bleed (like flair pens)
It's not bulky or bleeds through paper (like other permanents)
It makes very nice, readable, lines so is just perfect for writing in the size and neatness that you want.
It's readily visible.
(For non-black colors, other brands may be better. I use this as an everyday pen, when I don't need an actual pen only.)

As odd as it may be to take the time to review and recommend beyond comparison a permanent marker, the Bic Mark-it in black is so good that it really is the only good choice around.

Ink dried out in some, others did not deliver smooth line. Should have returned product but it was easier to throw them out.

Used these Bic markers to stencil our name onto plastic cardboard boxes. Only permanent marker we found that did not smear or wipe off and we tried many.
