Very Reliable

A great inexpensive and reliable automatic pencil that can be refilled by removing the eraser at the top and dropping in extra lead. I've had other more pricey automatic pencils, but the mechanism would sometimes jam. I don't think I've ever had a problem with these and if there was a problem, they are so inexpensive to replace. I use the 0.5mm #2 pencil daily and find it perfect for taking notes in class. The only negative is that it does not look as "handsome" as some other automatic pencils, but what good is a good-looking automatic pencil that jams anyway? :)

The adjustment design is really bad. One press to deliver the lead does not give enough to write with. A second press delivers the lead too far, so it breaks when you start to write. Basic design flaw. If you are wiling to constantly adjust, and don't mind lead breaks all the time, it is a cheap mechanical pencil. Use the .7mm to avoid this problem.

What is BIC thinking? Why don't they CLEARLY indicate that is disposable? 3 shots of lead and then landfill? The product description completely misleading. Were consumers BEGGING BIC to make more plastic we can throw in the garbage? Am I nuts? Is this not contrary to the whole idea of a mechanical pencil?
