I bought this for my medical office laptop. I need to put it at a comfortable level to work on without straining my shoulders and neck by placing it on a counter. It works great but does take a fair amount of effort to push down. Going up (making it taller) is easy.

I needed a laptop desk with adjustable heighth. I have a large desk that is too tall for computer work and doesn't have enough room for a keyboard tray. This product works well. Small, sturdy enough, easy to adjust. A good compromise for laptop users.
