Comments about Bankers Box Multi-Purpose Storage Boxes, 3/Pack:
I have used Staples file boxex #33250 for filing files and all sorts of things and have been very happy. You shelves look so much neater and you can find the right box when the boxes are the same size. Recently I have been doing some geneology and putting everything in 3"-3 ring binders. The photographs of family members going back to the middle 1800's take up a lot of room and do not fit in the file boxes. They fit wonderfully in the Banker Boxes Multi HOWEVER THE SIZE ON THE ABOVE BOX IS DIFFERENT FROM THE BOX IN THE STORE. CHECK YOUR SIZE NEEDED
Comments about Bankers Box Multi-Purpose Storage Boxes, 3/Pack:
I bought these boxes to initially store items that I plan to move in a few months. They are perfect for small heavy items such as books & kitchen items such as pots and pans. I plan to buy more to pack fragile items using bubble wrap (a better price at Staples than online packing places). The boxes are not so big and I am optimistic that when I move such items as crystal stemware they will arrive intact. One of the best things about these packing boxes is that they are one piece construction and the tops are not separate but easy to put together. I recommend for storage or moving that others consider using these boxes.

Q:
I need to ship some files from California to Georgia. Files folders are mostly 8 1/2 by 11 inches but there are many folders that are 8 1/2 by 14 inches. The cardboard boxes will likely be reused to ship the files back to California. There appear to be a number of Banker Boxes offered but no dimensions are shown. I like the removabale reuseable lid but do you know if there is any drawbacks to shipping boxes with this type of lids. Any suggestions? I just thought I could tape down the lids. I probably need 4-6 boxes but it could be as little as 4 boxes. Do you know of any weight-shipping charge issues for shipping these type of boxes? In otherwords, in terms of shipping prices, is it best to stuff the box full or keep the weight below a certain amount per box? What package of boxes do you recommend?
The dimensions of this particular box are 12 5/8"H x 12 3/8"W x 17 3/4"D and the lid does not require you to use any tape because the handles act as a fold to secure the lid in place. As far as the shipping rates are concerned and the amount of material you wish to ship, I would consult with the United States Postal Service for current rates.
