If it wasn't for this I would not have been able to watch the Skills USA National conference on big screen TV It worked really well. And I sometimes plug it into the TV to talk to my son over in Iraq. It is nice to see his face on the TV while he is protecting our country.

I needed to extend the length of my monitor cable because of the location of my tower. This product does what it claims to. I did notice a diminished quality of display in the monitor which I supposed cannot be helped. The package did warn that it was for monitors less than 17 inches and mine IS 17 inches. Unfortunately, I've been looking for awhile and couldn't find a monitor cable longer than 6 feet until I came across this extension cable.

    My wife used the cable to contect a Focus Projecter from her desktop computer in order to extend viewing for her classroom without rearranging her entire room. A y-spliter on the cable would have been helpful so that her desktop monitor could have been viewed at the same time.
