    I planned to use the cable between a multichannel audio interface and my laptop's built-in firewire port for in-field audio recording. Cable construction is very rugged, but the highly-shielded cable was so stiff that it was very difficult to maintain a reliable connection at the 4-pin connector. The 4-pin connector's huge plastic body also contributed to the stiffness and resultant unreliability.
