Comments about Belkin 6' HDMI-to-DVI Video Cable:

I have this cable running from dvi-d out on my htpc into hdmi on my receiver connected to my tv, and it works perfect. I had a dvi-d to hdmi cable before but it would only go hdmi out to dvi-d in, this cable is exactly what I was wanting. Nice cable without paying too premium of a price.

        A:

HDMI is backward-compatible with DVI, allowing connection of HDMI-capable components and displays to equipment with DVI connections. HDMI-to-DVI is ideal for connecting digital displays such as DTVs, plasma displays, LCD TVs, and projectors to digital source devices, such as DVD players/recorders, digital set-top boxes, and AV receivers.

The system already comes with a VGA port and the monitor also has a VGA cable based on information from Dell you will just be able to plug it in that way & it will work for you. Nothing extra should be needed.
