I purchased a Y-cable for our church. One cable to run to monitor at sound board and the other runs to a projector. THat projector has a monitor cable that runs left to another projector. The left projector does not receive the signal. Is there another cable I should be using?

I bought this item and just received it after asking a staples tech over the phone if this is the correct item for my needs. I don't know if I am not using it correctly or if actually this is not what I need, but its not working. I am trying to plug two lcd projectors into one laptop. Is this really the right item to do so?
