Belkin has a QC problem

Although Staples took the defective product back without question, it needs to be said that a cable having three places where the outer jacket was burned through to the coax mesh should never have left Belkin's plant. A visual inspection would've easily spotted this reject. I wonder if the cable was functionally tested?
