It was supposed to be a 24 PIN connector, but some of the spaces where a pin should have been were empty.

Was nervous because it was the last one at my Staples store and obviously had been opened. The personnel at Staples suspected that it had been opened to show another customer. Anyway, I took it home and it works great.

I added a second monitor to my configuration and needed it to plug the second one into my computer
