Bought this for a family member that had shorted out his on-board USB ports. He uses 5 USB ports so we used the 5th internal port for his blue tooth adapter for his wireless mouse and keyboard. When I looked at the compatibility description on the package Windows Vista was NOT listed. When I plugged the board in and powered on the PC, Windows Vista Home Basic promptly found the new card and loaded the proper driver automatically. All ports run at USB 2.0 speeds as promised.

I had trouble installing this device. After reading the owner's manual, I found that Windows XP with service Pack 1? would have the appropriate driver. I have service pack 3 and no driver was found. I used the driver on the CD. When I plugged any device into this port my computer locked up. I later found that there was a conflict with my telephone modem on the computer. Since I do not use this modem, I removed it and the new device worked fine. There was no mention of this kind of problem in the manual.
