Works w/o difficulty. What more could I ask for? It *will* take a bit of getting used to without status lights but at this excellent price ($20 + tax), I can do without those.

I have one concern and one quibble:
Concern: The plug from the power supply does not go all the way into the jack, leaving a few mm exposed to the air.
Quibble: I found it annoying that the plug to the outlet is positioned sideways so that it blocks 2 additional outlets in my power strip. I suppose a short extension wire would be a workaround.

I bought this at a staples store. I had the receiver for my wireless keyboard and a bluetooth dongle hooked up to it. After 30 days, it stopped working. It still supplies power to any device I connect to it, but my computer does not see any device connected to the hub. I tried returning it back to Staples but they wouldn't accept it back because of their 14 day return policy. Next time, i'll buy from someone else who has a better return policy.

  This can operated USB 1.1 as well as the 2.0, so older computers it will work fine with, as long as they have a USB port.

  The USB 2.0 device will work, but the USB 1.0 will work best if it's a USB 1.1 version. The USB 1.0 is from 1996, as it continues to become outdated, it will be harder to find usable connections.

  I would recommend the use of a usb hub as it is the most economical way to do it, especially as you would need to usb extensions. It also has the advantage of getting you easier access to usable usb ports. With the current trends towards usb drives and hot swapping having a port for the ease of use makes more sense.
