This is a much better hub than the really low-end versions, but I'm not convinced it's as reliable as it should be. It seems that some of the ports intermittently do not work, which is a similar problem I had with this unit's cheaper counterparts.

Not sure how it could be user error, but I won't rule it out quite yet. I'll save further comments til after I've spent more time being connected to it!

In order to be able to use all ports, must be pluged into a AC outlet. Only provides one port if plugged into the laptop. Waste of money

I was looking for a four port USB hub with a power supply. Didn't want a larger seven port unit. This is perfect not too big and has power for external drives etc.

Q:
This hub says you can connect USB-1 and USB-2 devices.

As far as I know, USB-2 outlets are backward compatible with USB-1.

Does the unusual phrasing of the specifications mean that there are ONLY TWO USB-2 outlets (the rest being USB-1 outlets)?

Or are ALL FOUR of the outlets USB-2?

And the last thing is, will the printer print without plugging a usb cable from the laptop computer to the printer? In another words will the printer work wirelessly with the computer ?
