      I was surprised to see the back panel of this bookcase is finished on both sides and is not a cheap, finished on one side only, flimsy panel that is nailed on like many other bookcases. The back panel is thicker, finished on both sides and slides into a channel during assembly. Very nice, and real easy to assemble like all Bestar furniture
