It is a decent light for a small area

We've had one of these for a long time. Unfortunately, the transformer inside finally cooked itself. I took it apart to make sure nothing looked dangerous, and it was fine.

We've had one of these for a long time. Unfortunately, the transformer inside finally cooked itself. I took it apart to make sure nothing looked dangerous, and it was fine.

We are buying another one. It lasted a long time, and provides nice lighting around our computer keyboard area.

It seems well made, I have had many lamps where the arms weaker and won't hold position. This one is tight. I took it completely apart just for fun, and its all metal hardware inside the joints where it counts.

A little peeved that the transformer failed, but this thing is built like a rock. Just one of those thing, I guess.

I needed a new desk lamp and wanted a halogen for its brightness.

At 20 watts, this one was far darker than any other halogen desk lamp I've seen.

At 20 watts, this one was far darker than any other halogen desk lamp I've seen.

Further, it was made very poorly. The high/low switch didn't work properly and the entire construction didn't feel solid.

I returned it and have bought one online for less money. It is very bright and much better made!

This lamp is the best I could find because I like the black color, the design, and the way it stretches out to cover the area that needs to be illuminated. I just wish it could use a brighter bulb. However, it DOES do the trick of illuminating my work, so I'm using it.

I need replacement bulbs for this lamp. The bulb inside says G8, but I can only find G4, which I saw was not compatible, and GY8. What is the item number for the correct replacement bulb?
