The light provided is very strong and the adjustment is more than adequate without taking up a huge amount of room on the desk. It is unobtrusive and blends well with my modern decor. I tried at least 5 different desklamps before settling on this one as giving the best strength of light over the largest area of my desk without taking up much space. Excellent desklamp and at a very competitive price. Would buy again.

The bulb died in 3 weeks! Using the correct screwdriver to remove the clear plate was impossible, the screws wouldn't budge! Returned the lamp to Staples. Would not recommend it.

I needed a new desk lamp and wanted a halogen for its brightness.

At 20 watts, this one was far darker than any other halogen desk lamp I've seen.

Further, it was made very poorly. The high/low switch didn't work properly and the entire construction didn't feel solid.

I returned it and have bought one online for less money. It is very bright and much better made!

We've had one of these for a long time. Unfortunately, the transformer inside finally cooked itself. I took it apart to make sure nothing looked dangerous, and it was fine.

We are buying another one. It lasted a long time, and provides nice lighting around our computer keyboard area.

It seems well made, I have had many lamps where the arms weaker and won't hold position. This one is tight. I took it completely apart just for fun, and its all metal hardware inside the joints where it counts.

A little peeved that the transformer failed, but this thing is built like a rock. Just one of those thing, I guess.

This lamp is nice for the price. The only problem was that the arm kept lowering on it's own. We had to tighten to keep it up.

I first purchased this lamp to replace a halogen lamp by my bed side. I liked it so much that I purchased two more, one for a side table by a chair and one to light up my computer desk. I would recommend it highly.
