I need a lamp that attaches to the top shelf of my desk-hutch over my computer and desktop area. I had a pretty nice one with a long jointed arm, but the attachment mechanism was never 100% stable, and it actually fell down a couple of times, luckily not onto my open laptop. It finally broke. This little guy is much simpler, with a not very long bendable gooseneck and a big tough clip-on attacher which so far seems far more stable than my old one. It was cheap but well rated so I tried it and I'm VERY happy.

Good product. I used it as a cost effective alternative to buying $100.00+ display booth lights. Worked great at a fraction of the cost. Thanks Staples.

The "goose-neck" really works but is stiff and difficult to keep in one place. The switch mechanism is flimsy and only works if you twist it in a counter-clockwise direction, a little different, but you can get used to it. All in all it's worth the money, but I don't expect it to last very long, and I would never get it if my kids were using it. It wouldn't stand a chance.

I was looking for addtional light for my home office computer desk since the lamp light in the room was not sufficient. Having some staples rewards dollars to use I searched the store and stumbled upon the perfect light. Clips on to the shelving unit right next to the desk and can be pointed in any direction for proper illumination for work and also camera lighting. The only caution is that I would go down to a 40 watt buln as the 6o watt recommended one produce way to much light pinpointed to one area. The price was exremely right and so far my little investment is shedding the ilght I needed

Nice lamp, but clamp doesn't clamp tightly to headboard on bed. Our headboard is a bit thick. It probably would work better on a thinner headboard.
