I've been using this mount for 6 mos and it REALLY stays put. You don't have to glue - drill - nail - mutilate your car's dash. Pack your GPS and it works with a rental; save some money. If your suction cup works loose like my TomTom, you can buy a GPS adhesive disk (Google it) and stick your suction cup permanently to the center of the donut. My TomTom works best resting on the rim as shown.

Works For Me

I purchased this Dash Mount because I liked the fact that it does not attach to a windshield and can be easily tucked out of sight, thus leaving no obvious evidence that there's a portable GPS in the car for would-be thieves. It is very sturdy and the GPS fits to it perfectly. But my dashboard is very high and contoured which makes using this mount as designed impossible. Fortunately my console is wide enough to accommodate the dash mount so that is how I'm using it. It's not the most ideal placement because of cup holders, LED display, etc., but it works for me. When driving by myself I can also place the mount on the passenger seat which works fine as well (I rely on the GPS voice commands rather than the visual maps). The mount is heavy enough and has the non-slip base which prevents it from sliding or toppling over. Even though I can't use it on my dashboard, I would still recommend this product becauses it is very functional for me and I really like the fact that it doesn't need to attach to a window or air vent and can be stored away quite easily.

Really a handy mount for the GPS - not in the way for viewing through windshield on my Sienna van.
Holds GPS so it can be easily viewed by driver and/or passenger
