Comments about Bracketron Universal Pro-Tect GPS Screen Protector:

These screen protectors were a complete waste of money! They come in a package with a paper backing you peel off from the sticky side that goes against the screen surface. When I opened up the package, most of the sheets were already lifted up from the protective paper backing, which told me two things: #1, the "sticky" surface had already been compromised by ambient conditions, and #2, this stuff doesn't stick very well, anyway. After you peel the paper off, you line up the edge of your screen protector and try to apply the screen protector with as few bubbles as possible--absolutely impossible! The little piece of cardboard supplied to help press the sheet down is about useless. You can't lay this stuff down without bubbles, no matter how hard you try. After about the third attempt to apply one of these sheets to my smartphone screen, using a new sheet on each attempt, I figured it was laid on about as good as it was going to get, far from satisfactory. Within 24 hours, the sheet was peeling up and curling. I removed it and have not replaced it with any other protection, so far. I would never even consider buying these, again. They totally suck--the money right out of your wallet.

      • Q:

This question is concerning the screen protector for ipad. Step 2 says remove the mask from the protector. Am I to take the protector off once I have smoothed the bubbles out? What is left to protect the screen?

        • A:

Step 2 is referring to pealing the backing away from the screen protector before applying it to the device. By doing this and working slowly you can help to eliminate the air bubbles that you will have to smooth out later. Once the air bubbles are removed you are done with the process.
