i still do not know how to cut so that the print does not get cut off i have to use extra tape which is wasteful and costly.

I use this to label things for organizational purposes as well as identity protection when i take things from home to other places. For example I do a lot of scrapbooking and when i get together with other scrappers we have a lot of the same material so its nice to say "oh thats mine b/c it has my label on it"
I only wish that it wasnt so expensive for one roll...of course it does last a while but its always a sticker shock when i have to buy it.
