                Despite the other answered questions, it's still not clear to me:
                If I purchase a Brother ML 100 Typewriter, and I purchase this ribbon (1031, Multistrike by Brother), do I need to also purchase a separate correction ribbon/tape? Or does the Multistrike do by itself whatever is needed in order to correct errors?

                  The Brother 1301 Mulitstrike Ribbon still require a separate correction ribbon.

                  A:

                  A correctable ribbon releases the ink completely onto the paper. The ribbon cannot be reused and corrections must be made using a liftoff tape. A multistrike ribbon is made of film whereas every available space is utilized by advancing only partial characters. Corrections can be made with a cover-up tape.

                  The 1030 ribbons are used with machines that are allow you to erase the type with lift off film. The 1031 cannot be lifted off.
