Comments about Brother DCP-7060D Laser Multi-Function Copier:
I needed a laser printer that would have automatic duplex copying to save on my paper consumption. I was switching from an inkjet that was rather slow and an ink hog. I've only had this about a month, but the difference in time spent copying is amazing and I'm looking forward to not needing ink every month. The only complaint I have is that the way the scanner is situated, the controls get covered by the other half of any book being copied from when using the duplex feature. It makes it a little awkward to push the necessary buttons without moving the page being copied. My inkjet's controls were on top of the scanner lid itself.
Comments about Brother DCP-7060D Laser Multi-Function Copier:
Have had this printer for only a month in our in-home office, so I can't say anything about toner use or reliablity. It's not as easy to use as our old (2003) Xerox, but that one cost $700. For the money, I believe this to be the printer that best suits our needs. And that's the important requirement, appropriate for one's needs. I set it up myself; not a computer whiz, but I can read and follow directions.
Yes, the pre-installed cartridges that come with the printer have ink. The Starter Toner yields up to 700 pages and the Drum DR420 yields up to 12,000 pages.
