Exactly as promised, it is a simple but effective tool. I bought it to organize the sloppy, slippery stacks of magazine clippings, decorating / inspiration pics and recipes that I tear out and I was pleasantly surprised by how clearly it scanned. Even cheaper quality paper, a little wrinkled with rough edges came out great. :) Pics also came out decent. And the software is easy to use. For the price and convenient size, I'd definitely recommend. I do wish it had a sliding paper guide though...

OK for the money

I purchased this product because of other peoples reviews. I use this scanner daily, 90% of the time to scan personal checks and insurance company checks. I do not like that when you scan a personal check, there is black where nothing was copied. Have you ever copied something in a copier and left the lid up? You know how the copy is surrounded by black?
What I do is scan my checks as JPEGs, edit with Irfranview, cut the images, and paste them into MS Word. Then I save as a PDF. Looks better that way. Never had a scanner before, this does a good job for the price, only wish it had a paper guide because it is near impossible to get the picture "square". This scanner will remain at work, and I plan to buy a flatbed scanner for the home office.

          I have yet to get a single document to scan in straight. Every single one is crooked and needs to be straightened in my photo editing software. If you're just using it for receipts, it's great. But for things that you want to look nice without extra work, it doesn't perform remotely as well as a regular scanner.

                I have had the scanner a little over a year and now when I insert something to be scanned, it "grabs" more from one side than the other so the copy looks smeared. I put the cleaning sheet through it, but that didn't help.

                  Yes, you can scan multiple pages into one file. The DSmobileSCAN II allows documents to be saved as Adobe Acrobat, TIFF or JPEG files. The PageManager Version 7 allows users to scan and organize digitized files with the ability to view, edit, send and save files in many formats. When you are in need of scanning multiple pages and you want them to be saved into one file, you simply scan the first page and set up the file destination. Then you scan the next page and simply choose the file you created to sent the scan to, then continue with this process until scan completion.
