I gave up and returned it

I purchased this printer because of it's dual paper tray input together with its auto-duplex capabilities. My plan was to keep pre-punched paper in one tray to print bank statements double-sided, and the other tray was for QuickBooks checks.The printer would not feed through paper that was pre-punched with a 3-hole punch, it jammed every single time. It would pull plain paper through (and auto-duplex) just fine, but I did not want to use plain paper.The deal breaker was the same "ghosting" issue mentioned in another review by "Accountant Leslie", which because of the cheap price of this product, I choose to ignore and purchased anyway - big mistake. I was unable to get any pre-printed check to go through this printer without significant ghosting of the pre-printed ink. The printer's roller appear to soak up some of the pre-printed ink off of the check and "re-stick" that ink about 3" below where it was before. I tried checks from 3 different suppliers with no luck eliminating this problem (although some supplier's check did better than others). The ink ghosting, together with the ridiculous amount of paper curl and startup current draw with this printer, led me to return it to Staples for a refund.The paper curl alone is enough for me to recommend against purchasing this printer, but if, like me, you just can't resist the bargain this printer is in theory, please don't buy it to print checks!I [...]

Use this machine in my notory business. It used to take an hour to sort and collate the signing documents. Now, all documents print in order without having to switch paper! What a snap. Reduced print out time by 2/3rd's. Great product!

Would definitely give this product 4 stars for the price if it did not print the shadow/ghost print on my check stock. Unsure of whether or not to keep because of that problem. Printer purchased as main check printing printer.

I run a home business for legal document. The dual drawer for legal/letter paper is great! Print time is outstanding, no hang ups when it is switching between letter and legal paper. Brother tech support assisted me in setting it up, their tech team was outstanding. Anyone running a business or home office, should buy this product!

We have had problems with the built in print server network connection, both wired and wireless, on two different units. The printers are both on surge protectors, but we have frequent power fluctuations with thunderstorms which may be the cause. Loss of network connectivity/offline status solved by pushing reset button on back of unit.
