After a warm-up time of 8.5 seconds, this printer is ready to produce your documents at a rate of 40 pages per minute. Its 64 MB of RAM (expandable to 320 MB) is more than enough space to store multiple print jobs. The paper trays hold letter and legal sized paper, and you can add a third drawer to bring your total paper capacity to 800 sheets.

I recently purchased this mono laser printer. It is amazing, fast, quiet, no paper jams, can't say enough good about this printer. I own and operate a Tax Office. Obviously my business is seasonal. So in a short amount of time I run a lot of government approved documents. Plus copies for the clients. Very happy with the speed and appearance of the documents. Would recommend this to anyone with a small office or home if you only need black and white documents. Toner seems to last forever.

Bought this for a small office. Printing capabilities very limited. Auto Select paper feed option doesn't work. Several discussions with customer service at Brother finally revealed that this machine simply will not wait for odd paper sizes or envelopes to be loaded - it will print using whatever paper is actually in the machine at the time the print button is pressed. Not efficient at all for multiple users. Might work well if within reach of the person printing. Bought the machine yesterday. Wasted 2 hours with customer service representatives. Returning the machine today.
