After one week, the cartridge became non-functional. The cartridge is a piece of film that looks like carbon paper and rolls from one cylinder to the next. I fixed it first with tape (not good) then with a glue stick. If you buy this cheap machine, be sure to order plenty of cartridge refills and some glue sticks. If security is an issue for you don't get this; you can read your faxes off of the ink sheet. I will be getting a better fax soon and bought this as a stand by- the new one can't come soon enough. Although one can be attached I needed compact so that defeats the purpose. Service and delivery comments: "that was easy" advertising fully lived up to expectations. Extremely prompt delivery, and extremely easy return when I realized it wasn't what I thought it was!
