At first it worked really well -for 4 days. After one week, the cartridge became non-functional. The cartridge is a piece of film that looks like carbon paper and rolls from one cylinder to the next. I fixed it first with tape (not good) then with a glue stick. If you buy this cheap machine, be sure to order plenty of cartridge refills and some glue sticks. If security is an issue for you don't get this; you can read your faxes off of the ink sheet. I will be getting a better fax soon and bought this as a stand by- the new one can't come soon enough.

This fax is easy to use by anyone. I have never faxed before and did it right the first time. I had to fax my timesheets in to my company office and had lots of trouble getting them in by having them faxed by a local business.Have had NO trouble with this fax. The transmission report lets you know that your fax was received.For me that was the most important thing - to know it was received.

Excellent features. Wanted it because I could use an external answering machine and phone on same line. However, had to return it because the readout on the screen (Phone number or guide to use features) was very faint to unreadable when looking down from above the machine. It reads OK, if sitting down and looking at it on a horizontal plane up to about 20-30 degrees above the horizontal.
