Had a problem with a new cartritdge so I called the help line and they fixed it over the phone! A small piece of residual plastic plugged up the ink aperture and when I cleared it I had wonderful results. I currently own several Brother products and will always Begin with their brand first!

Brother printers are cheap but will eat you alive with ink! The MFC-3820CN consumes cartridges like crazy; it doesn't even require much printing. Once it tells you to replace ink you cannot print (e.g., shaking ink cartridge not possible). There also seems to be lots of ink still in "empty" cartridge. Estimated number of pages: 50-100 (if lucky).

      yes i have a brother intellifax 1820c , and i was told u can refill the regular ink cartridges ,is that true??? it has a spot on the bottom with a open like hole that look s like it can b fill , please let me know asap ??? thanks for your help ..thanks carolyn

        A:

        The hole on the bottom is where the ink goes from the cartridge to to the print head. Its recommended that you use brother brand ink, many refill kits can have you drill holes into your cartridge to fill them with ink. This can be messy and also can change the pressure inside the cartridge.
