Highly recommended

Small footprint. Easy to set up and to use even for the novice. I was surprised how seamlessly it works with Vista as stand alone or shared printer. Great price for all the functionalities. The software driver is very easy to install and use. Highly recommend it. Printing speed and quality are great.
One major issue: Does not work in an environment where you are sharing a single telephone line for voice/fax/DSL connection. It will interfere with the DSL connection. The fax fucntionality works great if you have a dedicated telephone/fax line.

I work out of a home office. I am connected with my company via VPN connection. I cannot print when I am connected to my company's VPN. After weeks of calls to Brother, they finally admitted that this model does not interface with VPN. Do not buy if you are going to connect to VPN and expect to print anything.

I really like this printer a lot. It was inexpensive and the pages fly out of it for the price. However, when I went to scan a photo, I thought I had made a mistake in the settings. Nope. I never ONCE //EVER// thought that in this day someone would sell a printer/scanner combo with a black and white scanner! Pass on this model for this reason alone.

I bought this for my office at work. I print off between faxes and computer printing hundreds of sheets a day. I have had it less than a year, and it has been jamming for most of that time. It jams as it pulls paper from the tray. It jams in the rear as it feeds the paper through, turning it in to a paper accordian. It jams as it passes by the toner cartridge. It simply jams everywhere! And frequently too! I have to remove no less than 20 jams a day! Stay away from this product.

Our small office had a fax machine already but no way to copy or scan legal sized paper which we do very frequently. Enter the Brother® MFC-7220. This made short work of our copy and scan needs and we don't miss our old fax at all. The upgrade has had only plusses for us.
