I love this machine. Others have also been impressed with the speed of delivery of faxes and the clarity of copies. I have not had to buy ink yet since we just recently purchased it. I have made a couple hundred copies and the smaller trial-sized ink has not run out yet or even gotten low! It is expensive to replace ink, but all inks are expensive in my opinion. Very easy to use. I have not used it for graphics/charts or photos yet but I believe it will perform those functions just as well as it does everything else. We are using it for personal use now but will be utilizing it in our business also. I like the shape of it---fits on the desk easily, compactly. I do not know how durable it is but it certainly appears to be made well and is quite sturdy. I like it so much that I will consider Brother products when we are in the market for other things. Very, very pleased! Thank you!

Including 4410/4510/4610/4710, they all have chip on ink cartridges. NO compatible ink anymore. You have to buy OEM ink for $15 each instead of $2 compatible ink.

My second Brother MFC. First served me well for many years so I sought a repeat. Super pleased with the tiny footprint and ease of use. Set-up was fast and easy. Print, fax and scan quality top notch. Love Airprint feature, allowing me to easily and quickly print wirelessly form my iPhone and iPad. Only concern is component quality. The plastic moveable pieces (like paper and output trays) are not nearly as substantial as on my first MFC. But I should note that my new one was a third of the price! Time will tell, but so far I am thrilled.

  The Brother MFC-J4710dw Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer does not have enlarging or cropping capabilities. All desired sizing edits must be done to the image file on the computer prior to printing.

I asked this question previously, and I appreciate that someone tried to answer. But the answer given did not seem specific enough so I'm going to try again. My question was, "Does the scanner work over the Ethernet or Wireless connection, or is it USB only? Does it work over USB as well?"

What I'm trying to ascertain is whether multiple computers can access the scanner functionality of this All-in-One via wired ethernet connection and/or via wi-fi connection? My current older model AIO only provides scanner function to the computer connected by USB even though printing can be done via ethernet connection from any computer on my network.

I hope I was able to explain my question more clearly this time. Thanks in advance for any answers.
