Comments about Brother® P-touch® PT-18R PC Ready, Rechargable Label Maker:
This is a great labeler and I really like the PC interface. I was a little disappointed it wouldn't work with my Mac (hoping that will come soon). The bottom line is it's really, really expensive. I think there are lablers that are at least 1/2 price or less that would perform most of the functions I need. I was drawn to the rechargeable feature and the PC interface. My advice would be to look at some of the less expensive models first to determine if they will meet your needs and invest in some rechargeable batteries rather than spending the $100+ on this one. It's nice...but not that nice. (just my opinion).
Comments about Brother® P-touch® PT-18R PC Ready, Rechargable Label Maker:
I researched and had my company purchase the PT-18R for use at my job because of it's small footprint and recharging stand. I have been using this unit almost daily to label PCs, monitors, printers, and other IT assets at my job for over three years and I have been extremely satisfied. It is easy to carry, produces quality labels, and best of all - I never have to change batteries. I would buy it again!!
This will not accept Excel Files. The ability to connect via a USB to a PC for more detailed labeling. This rechargeable label maker's easy view graphical display and print preview capability allow users to create and preview label layouts before printing.
