Wish it had a cord

I already had a label maker at home which I purchased at Staples and am very happy with. I purchased this one to use at school. I was disappointed when I opened it up and the cord was listed as optional and it was not included in the package. I had to go out and purchase the AAA batteries to use in the machine before I could use it. It does work just like the one I already have. It is just as easy to set-up and use. I like that I can purchase different cartridges with different color ways, however none of the office supply stores in my area carry any of the other colors of tape only the black print on white tape. I would reccommend this especially if you were going to use it where electrical outlets were unavailable.

Way too complicated.

I had a simple old fashioned label maker which worked well, but no options. Didn't need batteries. So this was on sale and I thought it would be good to upgrade. Got home, opened it up, got the batteries installed and thought here we go. Then I looked at all the options, all the instructions and thought I must be getting ready to launch a space rocket ship. I'm 80, so I thought I needed a younger computer wise grand daughter involved in this. So I got some help, but she also had trouble. So I put it all back in the box nice and neat and gave it to another grandchild who has a Masters Degree in electronics. Hope she enjoys it.

I have a friend who loaned me her P-Touch and I loved it.
I added it to my Christmas list and my husband bought it for me. I even let him know when it was on sale. The replacement tapes are a little on the pricy side but I won't run out for a while as I received 2 extra tapes as gifts also. I will watch for them to go on sale. I now have my entire kitchen labeled and organized and will be moving on to my pantry in the near future. Maybe I can label and organize my husband's garage this summer as a gift to him for his birthday. I love your TV commercial for this product.

Was excited to purchase this product, but once I got it home to use it, found out that you have to purchase the ac/dc cord separately and it's extremely expensive! Brought it back to Staples to get my money back. Would never recommend this product....even to my worst enemy!! I do however recommend Dymo label makers....they're easy to use! I'm addicted to it!

    The directions were a little lengthy. The set up is something that you can easily get used to simply by reusing it. The one thing I do not like is that I am using it for an early ed classroom and the lower case letters (especially "a")is not the example we use for children. I would appreciate another font. In the model I purchased, there was a bonus tape cartridge (which I really appreciated...budget-wise) but after a few frustrating tries, because it was the first of the 2 cartridges I tried, I realized the cartridge was defective. The second cartridge printed very clear labels.
