Comments about Brother® QL-1050 Label Printer:

When you get told that it is compatible with labelling applications you expect it to give 4x6 inch label output since it is a 4 inch wide labeller. NO! It requires the narrower continuous label roll and requires you to snip the label into sections to be compatible for most box and envelope sizes.

It also doesn't work with Fedex, UPS and USPS Websites or Shiprush software and doesn't work with Stamps.com.

We ended up purchasing a further label printer a Zebra 2844 thermal and the labels are cheaper and it works with all shipping companies so that we could get the results we anticipated from Brother.

Would I recommend this label printer. NO. Their older models use the narrower label roll and the printer is cheaper and and rolls are cheaper.

Brother told me that they do not intend supplying compatible drivers to companies to allow it to work with major shipping companies and are happy that it uses the older models drivers to produce the long thin 2 3/8th inch wide labels.

"oh brother!" LOL!-you have to use brother label rolls only! i would of never bought this printer if this was mentioned! i only used it a couple of months and now it does not work? i will go back to my zebra printer!
