Works fine, however, no matter what I did including follow all FAQ's on the website, I could not get the network connection to work with my computer. I am pretty proficient with computers and despite my best efforts, I could not get it to connect through the ethernet connection. USB setup was easy and worked fine.
Comments about Brother Refurbished EMFC-7840W Laser Multi-Function Printer:
Decent printer. Brother makes GREAT printers. Only wish it had a parellel port connector as I had ALL my USBs in use and the old Brother DID have paralell port. Also doesnt automaticly print 2 sided.
Comments about Brother Refurbished EMFC-7840W Laser Multi-Function Printer:
This printer is a work horse and I prefer it over the newer ones as the newer ones get flimsier and seem to be made of cheaper components. My initial one fell out of my hands while transporting it. No printer would have survived the accidental drop. After 3 years' use and 60K copies, I opted to buy a refurbished model with a 3 year warranty, than a new one. If you use it alot, toner will get expensive. Buy the toner on the internet at 65% of the price from Staples / [@] / [@].No problems, no flaws, worked right out of the box. It was a great choice.

Looses wi-fi connection about once a week or two and was difficult to set up. Other than that great printer! Print quality is top notch, quiet, fast and a wi-fi all in one laser is awesome!
I just spoke with the reps at Brother and they report that YES, you can use the auto-feed for scanning, and it will scan in B&W or color - depending on the original document.

A:
The scanner can only be used on the flatbed and not the auto-feed.
This wireless multi-function printer is network ready, so yes, you can connect multiple computers to this printer as long as they share a network together.

Q:
I am considering the Brother MFC-7840W multi-function laser printer, copier, scanner and fax, and my number one concern is how well it handles printing on medium- to heavy-weight card stock and other media.
