The EMFC-9320CW is a compact and affordable digital color all-in-one solution which combines printing, copying, scanning and faxing into one powerful space-saving device. Awesome printer + service

This printer was a pleasant surprise. I've owned Brother and HP in the past and this is the first laser color printer I've owned. I bought the reconditioned version to save a few bucks and you wouldn't know the difference. I operated one computer via USB cable and a 2nd via wireless. The scanner is faster and easier to operate than my prior Brother DCP 1000. My only gripe is that the envelope feed is in the back and requires you to pull a panel down and flip two small levers - a bit cumbersome and not ideal if you have the printer shoved up against a wall. Tech support is incredible - no transfers to India and the tech's are highly competent and so nice to work with.

Will not wake from sleep mode

This printer has been a terrible disappointment. The printer goes to sleep after 5-10 minutes, and many times will not return from sleep mode. The printer will show as disconnected from the network, even though the printer is on and shows full signal. Connection is only reliable through a USB connection, but with an apple time capsule, we cannot share the scanner on the office network. Firmware updates and new settings will not resolve the problem, and the problem persists in either wireless or wired LAN mode.

so, really hard to set up and understand scanning etc compared with other brands, i like the speed of the operation and quality of print, but the duplex print option is from teh stone age, no auto duplexing, geex, this was way too expensive to be so hard to use...

This is an economic all-in-one machine in my feeling. Except you need to spend some time to setup the wireless use, the other one small problem is the manual paper part is really short.

Bought the refurbished unit (saved $50) and took advantage of $50 rebate on the trade-in of an old printer, so I couldn't beat the price. The unit arrived in good time in perfect condition. Set-up was easy, including configuring for wireless operation. Print quality is good, fax, copying and scanning work well. The only remaining question is long term reliability, which, if experience to date is any indicator, should not be a problem.

The second machine works great. I had to return the first one due to 2 major problems that prevented its use.

#1: After the first few days, paper would not feed from the paper tray. I had to feed each page seperately through the manual slot.
#2: The LAN plug was intermittent so wireless printing did not work most of the time.

The replacement machine works great but I am not sure I would go through this hassle again just to save a few $$.

Furthermore, getting the first machine to be picked up by the delivery company was a major headache. Staples Customer Service on the telephone was WONDERFUL (as usual), but the delivery company was horrible.

I used to buy refurbished ink jet printers every 2 years or so because it was cheaper to replace a printer than to replace the ink. Finally after months or wasting ink trying to clear the heads of the printer I resolved to get a printer that can remain unused for months at a time but still be ready when needed. The brother fits the bill!
not the best for photo printing but for everyday use it is the best. A great price combined with the recycle program made it a SWEET DEAL. toner for this unit is less than most comparable units.

Q:
I have a problem I have had the printer for a few months and like it but when I change the brightness because I need to lighten or darken a copy. I cant tell only a minor difference. I have followed the users manual and am doing it properly but still not changing enough to help. I had a old copier that would easily make major difference in darkness or brightness. Am I doing something wrong or is it because it is a laser printer that it wont make a bigger difference. Thanks
