The Professional Series MFC-J6710DW is a robust All-in-One with print, copy, scan and fax capabilities up to 11” x 17” (Ledger Size). Create two sided documents up to 11” x 17” in-house. Easy to setup wireless (802.11b/g/n) or wired Ethernet network with embedded web support connects to others on a network. The 3.3" Widescreen color LCD display features a simple menu navigation and offers easy access to help information. Dual paper trays (up to 250 sheets each) offer a total capacity of 500 sheets. On day three of light use we had our first paper jam that couldn't be reset, even though there was no paper lodged in the printer. Took it in for repair and found out it was a small plastic arm on one of the gears that was sticking up not allowing the ink head to reset. If this problem goes away and the printer works reliably we will love it. If the problem comes back to haunt us, we will regret our purchase (we are 30 miles from repairman). Great features, great price, great warranty. Only time will tell about the rest.

This printer meets my needs. The PC software works great. The Apple IPad app Brother IPrint needs ALOT of work! Other printer manufacturers have MUST better apps.

Nice printer, but I had some issues. After continual use, the paper started to jam. (11x17 42lb double sided glossy.) The next day, it started working fine again.
Double sided printing doesn't work with picture quality printing.
Trays are not build very sturdy, but they have held up.
I had three printer cartridges not work because the vent hole was plugged. Not a problem with the printer, per say, but a problem that has to be overcome.

The first Brother (also refurbished)lasted about 4 years with hard use. Printing and scaning Engineering Aircraft Drawings daily. I figured I got my money's worth.
I needed a replacement so I did not hesitate, I replaced the old work horse with another comparable refurbished Brother printer....No regreats at all...

Not good for photos, flimsy paper guides

I am disappointed in this , have had it one day. Prints photos horrible, even with best, photo papers it doesn't always grab them, prints horrible on them. Sometimes doesn't recognize what you want. I will try a little while longer. Disappointed for now. I was hoping photos would be nice. Not good, even tried small.

I currently have windows 8. Is Brother going to provide a windows 8 update for this printer and can I operate it with windows 8 as it is now? I have another Printer that will run on 8 (without the update), I just do not have all of the "bells and whistles".
