This full featured plain paper Fax includes a 14.4K bps modem, 20-page automatic document feeder, up to 200-sheet paper capacity and high yield, up to 450-page replacement print cartridge, making it ideally suited to handle demanding businessapplications. It can store up to 25 pages* for out of paper reception. Quick Scan memory transmission, or fax broadcasting to multiple locations.

Convenient copying features include multi-copying, sorting, enlargement and reduction. AutomaticFax/Telephone switching lets you receive both fax and voice calls on a single line. We have other Brother products and are happy- this is not one. This is the 2nd one we had to buy- the machine does not fax to other machines- it does sometimes and other times it does not. This started in May, it is now October- I have had the phone company out several times to my location and they could not find the problem and now Brother says it is not their fault or problem and will not make good on it. Other machines work fine. We lost money on this machine not only as a business but also from our customers. Its really sad how you can become so stressed out over a machine!

It is a good value for the price. I purchased the exact same model 9 years ago (new), and it worked fine. I gave it to my Mom, and bought this refurbished version (same model #) which surprisingly works even better (faster). The Brother fax machine is dependable and pretty low cost in terms of replacing the cartridge.

Set it up - could not feed a single sheet without grabbing it crooked and then stopping the feed 1-inch into the machine. After several attempts I was able to hand-feed a single sheet through, one time only. Placing a stack in the feeder never worked at all, and hand-feeding them one at a time worked once out of 5 or 6 tries.
Obviously this unit was NEVER TESTED after refurbishing was completed.
