Q: When copying a document, can you reduce the size of the document from legal size to regular size? In other words, can you copy a legal size document and make it a regular size document? Asked on 4/25/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 2 answers A: YES, ON THE PANEL THERE IS A BUTTON FOR "REDUCE AND ENLARGE". I REDUCE HUD STATEMENTS TO LETTER SIZE ALL THE TIME. VERY EASY. PUSH THE BUTTON AND FOLLOW THE STEPS. Answered on 5/18/2011 by MONKEY from WALNUT COVE NC A: The flatbed is indeed legal-sized, and the copier function has reduction capabilities. Of course, if you reduce a legal-sized document (8.5 x 14) to 11" tall, you'll also reduce its width to about 6.7", and generally make everything about 75% as big as it once was. As far as I remember, the MFC unit itself can't just shrink the "length" and leave the "width" alone. Most computers these days would be able to do that just fine, though everything would necessarily look "short and fat"... Answered on 4/28/2011 by Donald from Seattle
