Although Brother says that these cartridges are good for 7,000 copies - I beg to differ. I use these cartridge in HL5250DN printer as well as a Brother 8460N copier for light business use. They don't last very long and once the toner light goes on - there's no shaking of cartridge to get those few extra copies out of the drum!

    Although the copies are nice and clear, I was disappointed by the short life. Averaging closer to 5000 than 7000. This is the second time we purchased this item with these results.

          I use the copies about 10-20 copies per week max...according to that, the cartridge should last for more than a year...mine lasted less than 5 months....

              We barely got 3,000 copies out of our cartridge. We are a small church and use it mainly for Sunday bulletins and monthly reports for meetings. We bought this one instead of the other one because we thought we wouldn't have to buy them as often. The copier was bought new in July and this will be the second cartridge we have had to buy with only about 3800 copies on the machine.
