I've purchased a lot of "assemble yourself" furniture (usually for kids) from a variety of sources and this file cabinet is one of the best I've seen. We bought it as a temporary piece for a home office and so far it looks like a tremendous value. It uses the same basic assembly hardware as most of these things, but the overall quality was higher than average. The laminates on the wood pieces were very high quality, with no visible flaws. Based on the weight the wood for the cabinet seems to be a higher quality composite, possibly MDF (judging by the weight). The drawer slides are very good quality and the other hardware is fine and pretty attractive. All of the pieces and assembly hardware were very well labeled and there were no missing parts. One part was slightly damaged, but a quick call to the company had a replacement on the way the next day. The assembly instructions are very clear and easy to understand. It does take some time however - I've done a bunch of these and this one probably took me a couple hours. I did not use my power tools, which would have sped the process a bit.

The instructions are all pictures, no written words about how to assemble it. Getting the drawer glides apart took some detective work. Once we got it together, had trouble getting the drawers in. Called the 800 help line and the guy said to just "Wap it with your hand and make it go in!" That seemed to work.
We bought this to match the 6 foot tall bookshelves in the same product line. A nice addition to our home office. For the money, a good value. Not solid mahogany, but a reasonable facsimile.
Very nice looking piece!
