I wanted several peices for my home office that were not too big, yet functional, so got this along w/several of the other Mission Pointe peices. The bookshelf has very deep shelves, so we have two rows of books on some. Can also hold good sized baskets for extra storage. For put-together furniture, it seems solid and well constructed; better than others. Has a very nice look for a low price.
