Purchased for teen son in his bedroom. He uses the L-shaped to have computer space as well as clear desk for homework. Perfect for his needs. Drawer space for files and supplies is very handy and something we were looking for when choosing. Keyboard drawer is a little flimsy for heavy-hands. We needed the smaller size to fit in his bedroom. Maple color is good color match for the rest of his natural maple furniture (as opposed to the "planked maple l-shaped desk by Bush that was more of a honey tone). We are very happy with this.

I have two of the 71" Somerset desks already which I purchased almost 5 years ago. They're GREAT! Then I needed one more for another office and mistakenly ordered this 60" desk. Design not nearly as attractive. Back of it (which in my office is the front of the desk) is made of flimsy cardboard that you nail on with the provided dark brown nails. Looks very strange. The back of the 71" desk is nice and low to the ground, so it hides all of your clutter (purse, shoes, wastebasket, cords). This desk has a very high space between the desk and the floor, so everything under the desk will always show. Get the 71" version and you'll be very happy. [...]

This desk was missing the front panel of the desk where the 2 drawers are. It also shows in the store with a solid backing and when I rec'd it the backing was the flimsy panel material. I never would have bought it if I had know that. The desk was put together by my husband while I was at work and didn't know that until I came home. I would have absolutely sent it back!!! The drawers don't line up as the pre drilled holes are not drilled at the same location. Save your money...buy something else.

If you have 4 Hours to put together a desk and then have It break upon assembly enjoy! still waiting for drawer parts as they broke computer shelf is very cheap and has fallen out and particle board has broken too. Thought i would be able to use without being put in a corner however the back of the desk has cardboard parts buy somewhere else. your warned......

I purchased this desk for use in a school health office. The design works quite well to maximize work surface and storage in a small space while maintaining privacy. The price was an advantage for an "unreimbursed expense".
