Bought this desk for my office after I bought the same BUSH desk but larger one of 70" long on both sides. This time I wanted the smaller version of it, and bought this one thinking it would have the same attractive look; but it DID NOT! The back panels that covers/closes the drawer part and computer are very cheap looking with black nails on it that stand out more than anything(look at the picture attached). We have to nail them in place and the nails stand out because they are black! So if you decide to have your customers sit across from you with this desk, they will be looking at black nails holding this cheap looking board!! Not a good look if you are looking to have a nice peace of furniture. I would recomend that if you have the space, def. get the bigger desk, it's beautiful in every since way! I have 2 already and love it, everyone that walks in loves it too!

Unfortunately, I could not get the full desk assembled before it fell apart in my hands. My dad, a woodworker and craftsman, helped me to begin assembling the pieces according to instructions. When he was screwing in the parts to the big drawer, he noticed that the holes were stripped/not made correctly. As he finished assembling all the pieces to the drawer and went to put it aside, holding it by the drawer pull, the drawer completely fell apart into all of its pieces.
I guess one good thing is: it was very easy to call customer service and get the courier to come back to pick up the desk. I didn't want to risk spending half the day to assemble the rest, and asking for new pieces for the one drawer, in case something was wrong further in to assembly. Be aware: in order to return the item, you have to disassemble the entire thing and put it back in the box. Anyway, this experience was VERY disappointing to me, since the desk was exactly the right size, style & color for the room.

I love the look of this desk. It's sturdy and makes effecient use of it's small footprint. It doesn't however allow for very much seating room by the user. I have a chair with arms and it won't fit underneath the extension side due to the placement of the keyboard tray. If you've got a simple task chair, go for it! Just make sure you've got strong help if you're on the 3rd floor of a walk up. This [*] is heavy!

I purchased this desk for our computer room which already had two small desks for my kids. I was able to fit this nicely into a corner and still have a lot of room left for moving around. It was not difficult to put together and even fully assembled was easy to move around. It feels nice and sturdy.
My only two cons for this desk are: Firstly, I have a high end pc that will not fit in the pc cabinet (those cramped cabinets really are bad for pc airflow anyway). So I need to put my pc on my desk, which is fine except there is no cable opening on the back of the desk. It is more of a convenience point than anything else. It just would be nice if there were cable openings on the two back panels. Secondly, the pre-drilled holes for the drawer slider components were just a little bit off, making the two drawers sit not quite straight.
Also, I was a little unsure when I bought the desk based on some information on the Staples product page, but this desk *IS* reversible. Which was a key point for me. I had to double check on another website.

This took a about 4 hours for a 22 year-old moderately-experienced but professional carpenter to assemble. I'm using it for my sewing machine and the construction is so flimsy that the whole thing vibrates and actually shifts position while the sewing machine is in use.
A friend and I went through and checked all of the fasteners to make sure all was well (they were), set up the sewing machine again and no change.
