Good for home, not sure about work

We bought 2 of these along with matching desk, hutch, and bookcase for our home computer room. It all looks good together. I think these will work fine for our very-light-use purposes but I don't know if they'll have what it takes for the wear and tear of a busy office environment. We may open some of these drawers maybe once a week as opposed to in an office where they might get opened a couple dozen times a day. In that case I'd opt for something constructed tougher. The directions were fairly ok to follow as long as you read the page ahead of time and laid out all the parts ahead of time. A power screwdriver is a must for making this job go much easier, preferably one with a torque setting you can set on about 12 out of 24 so you don't over-torque the screws. If you're over agressive with the screws you can easily pop them right through and out the other side of the wood. Take it easy. Overall, we're happy with the purchase.

This file is good as far as use is concerned, the drawers work smoothly. The piece is not flimsy in construction. The only downside I see is the poor quality veneer finish. I also have the L shaped desk and hutch and the bookshelf. They are all a good weight and durable construction, but the veneer finish is very low quality. I have had these pieces about a month and on the desk where I use my mouse, the finish is already showing wear and tear. Overpriced due to the fact the appearance fades so easily with just average use.

Beautiful light Maple laminate finish and sleek brushed nickel drawer pulls make the file a perfect addition to my bedroom alcove office. Read all the Staples Reviews to appreciate the importance of careful assembly. Measure the tiny screws to be sure you use the correct length and diameter, since instructions use an arbitrary part # system. After reading Reviewer comment about drawer front pulling off, I opted to add wood glue for added hold. Since I am installing hardwood floors, I added a 1/2-inch hardwood plywood bottom and 4 90-lb capacity caster wheels for mobility -- cutting the plywood with a beveled edge hides the plywood. Would NOT add wheels directly to Bottom Piece "E" since particle board composition is not strong enough.

drawer slide constructiomn not sturdy for the size of the drawer. Drawer does not slide fully ope, it catches and then with a tug it wil open but wobbly. I only bought this to natch the somerset 72 inch L-Desk and hutch I bought last year.
