    We bought this file to store files in the breakfast area our home so, we needed something that looked like "real" furniture. This piece exceeded our expectations. It matches our kitchen cabinets perfectly, it looks more like a "cabinet" than a file cabinet, and is incredibly sturdy for self-assembled furniture. While the assembly was a challenge, it was well worth it (We ended up with 2 drawer dividers for which the holes had not been drilled. As it turned out, we didn't need them anyway.). In addition to getting an attractive and sturdy piece of furniture, we also acquired much more file storage space than any traditional file cabinet would have provided.

    Once assembled the cabinet is strong enough but the cheap drawer sides and back won't hold trumpet screws. I had to add two corner braces on each back corner of the drawers. The instructions, like many imported products are terrible and probably lead to many assembly problems and even unsafe conditions. Some attempt has been made to make the product stable and tip-over proof and I give the designer high marks for that. The overall look is OK. [...]

          I purchased this to consolidate hanging files from a large desk that was too big for my new home.

          This was not too difficult to put together. It took me about 5 hours to put it together by myself. Just follow lay the pieces out, read and follow the instructions and...no problem
