I use this tote as the one bag I take to work each day. I don't bother with a handbag because the tote allows me to carry everything that I need in one bag. It's well organized, and very easy to find things in. This is my second one, I carried the same bag for 4 years before the straps wore out.

I love this bag, but I found it unusable for commuting (which for me involves a lot of walking and buses). It is better suited for short trips between the parking lot and your office or home.

Some important points:

* Padded laptop compartment is TOO SMALL to accommodate the advertised 15.4" laptop. In fact, my 14.56" wide laptop does not fit in the padded compartment! I can fit it into the neighboring compartment, but that one is not padded.

* Too heavy. The bag is relatively heavy on its own, and adding my 6.5 lb laptop made it unbearable for me to carry during the long walks between bus stops. When full, the whole thing was probably 12 lbs, which doesn't sound like much, but the narrow, unpadded shoulder straps do not bear the weight well. I ended up holding the case in my arms.

* The laptop compartment is zippered, but the two side compartments are not. One of them contains nice pockets for personal belongings, which is great, but without the zipper it's vulnerable to spilling out or someone reaching in and helping themselves (gotta watch your bus neighbors).

That said, I'm keeping it to use as a purse. It's beautiful!

I think I wanted something a bit trendier than this classic bag. But I'm glad that I purchased this one. I get a lot of compliments on it. It fits my Macbook, its cords, and the rest of my gadgets and junk. Best of all, it keeps me organized.

I do wish that it came in other colors besides black and red leather.

I searched many online stores to find the perfect bag for my laptop. This one is perfect. Is it a very classy, elegant look that looks great with jeans or dressy work attire. It has plenty of room for my 17" screen as well as keys, paperwork, charger, phone, and nearly anything else you may need to take along. Its not bulky at all and carries comfortably on your shoulder. The picture doesnt do it justice- its is a nice quality leather.

This is a great bag! I received it as a gift last Christmas and have used it rigorously throughout the past 11 months. I lug my laptop around in it every day as well as a bunch of files and documents. Needless to say, I'm tough on bags. The dual straps are just the right length and help to make the bag comfortable to carry when I load it down. The seams, straps and leather have all held up really well since I started using/abusing it. It still looks great and continues to be very functional. I would recommend this bag to anyone without any reservations.
