I purchased this tote becuase I was going out of town for a week and wanted to take my notebook computer. I was able to pack a carryon and with this tote, I was also able to take the notebook computer, notebooks, novel etc. for the entire week. I was the only one in my group that didn't have to wait for luggage. The tote is constructed well and held the load. I've used it several times since then and it has held up. Plus it looks good, very professional.
