Great Price, Short Life

At first glance the Canon BCI-24 Black ink cartridge appears to be a great deal. The cartridge is relatively inexpensive, easy to replace, and produces crisp clean black text on my Canon Multipass MP390. However, I find that I have to replace the cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks despite only printing a couple of pages a day. Considering the number of times I have had to replace the cartridge, the total cost of black ink for my printer has become quite expensive.
Next time I purchase a printer I will know to fully research the required cartridges not only for print quality and price but also length of life!
