I have two Canon printers and I always use Canon ink in them. The only problem I ever encountered was when I tried to save a buck and bought some "bargain" ink. It was a bad experience, to say the least. It messed up one of my printers for awhile but replacing it with Canon ink eventually worked the problem out. Although I think it's way over-priced, I'll still stick with original Canon ink from now on.

I purchased a Canon printer put the cartridges in then didn't use it for a while so packed everything away. ONE YEAR later I unpacked it put it all back together(reinserting the cartidges) and plugged it in and much to my surprise it worked perfectly and the colors of the photos and documents were just like the printer was just opened for use. So even when the cartridges were inserted, taken out and then stored for a year - they performed perfectly. You can't get better than that!
