Too heavy for everyday use unless using a tripod. It weighted down my camera and caused it to tilt forward, therefore the tripod made it much easier. I was looking to get further distance with out having to use a tripod, like seeing animals at the zoo in a distance close up. I tried it out with not much luck and returned it before my 14 days were up. [...]

I teach digital photography and have just moved into the country on 3 acres of land with an abundance of wildlife. Zoom lens is great for wildlife that keep their distance and for the hummingbirds that frequent our feeders
