Use is in balancing account within the business and running long invoicing totals. Mainly tallying. Display window is nicely lighted and easy to see. It take some getting use to the placement of the zeros (0, 00, and 000). However a very effective calculator.
this is a good calculator but the digital display has a very short life, in other word it does not last more than 4 years, so we can not see the numbers.
We bought 7 of these calculators for our office about 2 years ago.
They're great, except... after about a year the display screen on 3 of the calculators went bad. When this occured the display screen no longer shows the correct number - e.g. the digit "8" might be displayed as the digit "1".
I called Canon about this just now and they told me that since more than a year has passed they are no longer covered by the Canon warranty -- and they won't repair them.
So unless you don't mind replacing your calculator each year don't purchase this model from Canon.
Paid more money than others thinking i was getting a quality product "WRONG" Digital Display Lasted just when the warranty was over. Dont waste your money ! I had pocket calculators last longer.
Canon Suggest you find a new digital display supplier. Looks like im not the only one who had this issue.
