Like you have a choice!

I've used Canon printers a long time. Their name brand ink gives me no problems but is expensive per sheet.
Private brand ink has always given me problems when using Canon printers. Private label inks work well in other printers, but not Canon.
Canon ink is a good value when printers & ink are new but seem to have less cartridge life as time goes on.
Bottom line is it performs well and you just pay and pay. Printers should be free considering the ink they consume.
